FAQ

The questions that come up on every first call.

Answered at the length they deserve rather than in a sentence. Questions about a specific service are answered on that service’s own page.

If yours is not here, email support@exponentialy.com or call +91 93060 49784 — you will get a written answer, not a calendar link.

Getting started

How an engagement begins, who you deal with, and what the first month looks like.

What happens on the first call?

Forty-five minutes with the person who would actually run your account. We ask what a customer is worth to you, where enquiries come from today, what you have already tried and what has not worked. You leave with our read on where the constraint sits. If we do not think you need an agency yet, we will say so on that call rather than send a proposal.

Do we have to buy the audit before working with you?

No, but most clients do, and it is credited in full against a retainer that starts within 60 days. The reason we suggest it is that a proposal written without looking properly at your accounts is guesswork, and you would be paying for that guesswork either way.

How quickly can we start?

Usually within a week or two of agreeing scope, depending on how many engagements are already running. Because we keep the roster small, there are quarters when the honest answer is that the next start date is a month away — we would rather tell you that than take the work and stretch the team.

Who actually works on my account?

A named strategist and a named specialist for each channel in scope, listed in the contract. The people on your first call are the people doing the work. There is no handover to an executive you have never met.

How much of my team's time will this take?

About two hours a week once things are running — one working session plus messages in between. The first fortnight is heavier because we need access to accounts, data and usually a walkthrough of how your sales process actually works.

Do you work with businesses outside Gurugram and Delhi NCR?

Yes. We are based in Gurugram and a good share of our clients are in NCR, but paid media, SEO, automation and creative are all delivered remotely, and we work with businesses across India. For Local SEO in particular, physical distance makes no difference to the work.

Results and reporting

What we measure, how long things take, and what happens when a number goes the wrong way.

How long before we see results?

It depends on the channel. Paid ads can show improvement in three to four weeks, mostly by cutting waste. Lead quality and cost per customer usually take two to three months to move reliably. SEO and local rankings take three to six months to contribute meaningfully. Anyone giving you a single number for all of that has not thought about it.

What do you actually report on?

Enquiries, qualified enquiries, customers and what each one cost — taken from your sales data, not from an ad platform screenshot. Clicks, impressions and ROAS appear as diagnostics, because they explain what happened, but they are not the result.

Why do the ad platforms and our sales numbers disagree?

Because every platform counts a conversion it can claim, and those claims overlap. Add up what Google and Meta each report and you will often exceed your actual sales. We reconcile against your own order or CRM data and use that as the number of record.

How often will we hear from you?

A short written note every Monday on what changed and what we are doing about it. A monthly review with the numbers. A quarterly session on the plan for the next three months. Plus a shared WhatsApp or Slack channel for anything in between — you do not need to wait for the monthly call.

What do you do when something is not working?

Say so in the next report, in the same tone as the wins, with what we think caused it and what we are changing. Every case study on this site includes at least one thing that did not work, which is the standard we hold ourselves to internally.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and we would be wary of anyone who does — nobody can guarantee an outcome that depends on your pricing, your sales team and your competitors. What we commit to is the work, the priorities, the reporting and telling you the truth about all three.

Services and fit

What we do, what we deliberately do not, and where you would be better served elsewhere.

Do you build websites?

Not on this side of the business. We build and optimise landing pages as part of campaign work, but full website design and development runs as a separate division at web.exponentialy.com with its own team. Keeping them apart means neither one gets squeezed by the other's deadlines.

Which service should we start with?

If people already search for what you sell, start with Google Ads or Local SEO. If your product needs to be shown or explained, start with Meta Ads and the creative to support it. If enquiries already arrive and go nowhere, start with AI Automation — it is usually the cheapest fix available. We will give you a straight recommendation on the first call.

Can you work alongside our existing agency or in-house team?

Often, yes. Plenty of our engagements sit next to an in-house marketer or a freelancer who handles social. What does not work is two parties running the same channel with different targets, so we agree the boundaries in writing before starting.

Do you work with competitors in the same category?

Not in the same category and city. If we are running campaigns for a dental clinic in Sector 14, we will not take another one two kilometres away. It is written into the contract, and it is one of the reasons the roster stays small.

Do you handle organic social media posting?

We produce creative and can plan the content, but daily posting and community management are usually better handled by someone in-house who knows your business day to day. We will happily brief and train them.

What if our problem is not marketing?

Then more marketing will make it worse. If leads go unanswered, pricing is wrong, or the sales process loses people, we say so and point at the fix, even when it is not something we would bill for. It happens on roughly a third of first calls.

Fees and contracts

What things cost, what the terms are, and what happens at the end.

How much does it cost to work with you?

The Growth Audit is ₹35,000 as a one-off. Single-channel retainers start at ₹45,000 a month and the full growth programme starts at ₹1,25,000 a month, both as flat fees. Projects such as video, branding or automation builds start at ₹75,000. Every proposal shows how the number was arrived at, line by line.

Why do you not charge a percentage of ad spend?

Because it pays us more for recommending a bigger budget, including in the months when spending less is the right call. A flat fee means that advice is free for us to give, and it costs us money in some quarters — which is precisely the point.

Is ad spend included in the fee?

No. You pay Google, Meta and any other platform directly from your own accounts, so you can see every rupee and you keep the account and its history. We never mark up media. Creator fees, studio costs and software licences are billed at cost with the invoices attached.

How is the fee decided within a range?

By scope — how many channels, how many locations or languages, and how much creative the plan needs — not by how much you spend. Two businesses with identical ad budgets can sit at either end of a range for good reasons, and we show the working before you sign anything.

What are the contract terms?

Three months initially for a single channel, six for the full programme, then rolling notice of 30 or 60 days. The initial term exists because the foundation work needs time to land before anyone can judge it fairly.

Who owns the accounts and the data?

You do, from day one. Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Analytics, your Google Business Profiles, the tracking setup, the dashboards and every creative asset sit in accounts you control. If we stop working together, nothing leaves with us.

What happens when the engagement ends?

You keep everything, and we run a handover session with whoever takes it on, in-house or another agency. Several engagements have ended because the client hired the capability internally, which we regard as a good outcome rather than a loss.

Do you work with businesses spending less than ₹40,000 a month?

Sometimes, but honestly. Below that level our fee is a large share of your total marketing cost, and you are usually better served by the Growth Audit plus doing the work in-house for a few months. We will tell you when that is the case.

Can we start small and expand later?

Yes, and most clients do. A single channel run properly is where most engagements begin. When a second channel starts making sense we move you across, and the fee changes at that point, not before.

Do you offer performance-based pricing?

Rarely. Performance fees create arguments about measurement at exactly the moment measurement matters most, and they push an agency toward the easiest attributable win rather than the right one. A flat fee is our default and we will explain why in more detail if you want to push on it.

Still open questions

Ask us the awkward one.

What happens if results drop, why the first few weeks look like nothing is happening, whether we have done this in your industry before. We would rather answer it now than have it surface in month four.
